Prof. Dr. J.A. (Jan Anthonie) Bruijn (member, first term from 08-09-2026 to 07-09-2030)

Professor of Clinical Pathology at Leiden University Medical Center (1996–2025); Visiting Research Fellow at Harvard University Medical School (1990–1991); President of the International Renal Pathology Society (2005–2006); Chair of the Board of Medical and Biomedical Sciences Education at Leiden University Medical Center (2001–2012); Chair of the Advisory Board of the National Platform for Practical Research SIA (NWO) (2018–2019); member of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (2013–present); member and Chair of the Senate of the States General of the Netherlands (2012–2025); Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport (2025–2026); Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Amsterdam University of the Arts (2016–2024); Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Swiss-Dutch Business Council (2026–present); member of the Advisory Board of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (2026–present); member of the University Council/Erasmus Trust Fund of Erasmus University Rotterdam (2019–present); member of the Advisory Board of Stichting Blikverruimers (2015–present).

Dr. C. (Charlotte) Bruns (member, first term from 08-09-2026 to 07-09-2030)

Postdoctoral researcher and lecturer in Popular Science Communication at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication, Erasmus University Rotterdam; specialised in visual science communication and the relationship between science, culture and society; researcher at IANUS and COALESCE, focusing on participation and trust in science; initiator and coordinator of the VISUAL Research Cluster; previously researcher and lecturer in Visual Communication and Media Sociology at Technische Universität Chemnitz (2014–2022) and interim professor of Media and Communication Studies (2022–2023); author of Raumbilder und ihre Gebrauchsweisen: Zur Organisation des Sehens in der Stereofotografie (2024).

Prof. Dr. R.J. (Rob) Hamer (finance/audit, member, 2e termijn benoemd per 29-09-2020 t/m 28-09-2028)

Formerly Director of Unilever R&D Vlaardingen and Vice President of Agri-Food External Affairs; Professor at Wageningen UR. Currently involved with:

Appointments to the Supervisory Board are for a maximum term of four years, with a one-time option for reappointment. The maximum tenure is therefore eight years.
